Howdy, I’m Cliff, a licensed guide specializing in hiking and camping experiences in the Catskills, Hudson Valley, and Shawangunk Mountains.

I grew up in San Francisco, where I spent my childhood hiking, biking and climbing around the hills and mountains of the Bay Area.

I was the outdoor education teaching assistant at my high school and spent a gap year backpacking around South America before studying international economics at Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service in Washington, D.C, where I also raced as a collegiate triathlete.

After working in finance and then spending the past decade working at various consumer fintech startups, I’ve returned to my roots as an outdoor junkie to show friends, family and clients around the most incredible parts of my new(-ish) home in the Hudson Valley.

In between the serious stuff, I spent many years hiking and climbing my way around the Western US and Latin America and racing road bikes in California. Some of my more recent epic adventures have taken me to New Zealand, South Africa and Patagonia, and the past few years as a digital nomad allowed me to live extensively in Puerto Rico, Mexico and Costa Rica. Habla conmigo en español!

My wife (Dani), goldendoodle (Pancho) and I now live at the doorstep of the Shawangunk mountains in Rosendale, NY. You can also find me frequently playing pickleball, kayaking the waterways of the area with Pancho in tow and getting fellow adventurers kitted out at Kenco Outfitters in Kingston every Wednesday.
