Upstate Hiking is a Guided Service headquartered in the Catskill Mountains, offering hiking, camping and photography experiences in the Catskills, Adirondacks, and surrounding areas of Upstate New York. From introductory hikes to challenging trips up New York’s highest peaks – we’ve got a hike for anyone and everyone.
We operate year round – including the winter, and can accommodate all skill levels and age groups. Every hike is expertly curated and designed to create an experience for hikers that is stress free, exciting, invigorating and well photographed too. With small sized groups and trail choices that avoid crowded routes – Upstate Hiking makes sure that your time in the mountains and wilderness is serene and that there’s plenty of time to work with each guest individually on techniques, challenging terrain – and of course some awesome photos too.
Upstate Hiking is a subsidiary of Roulette Travel Adventures and Media, LLC, and owned by founder and Licensed Guide, Brian James Afflixio (NYS Licensed Guide Badge #8246). Brian is certified in Wilderness First Aid as well as CPR/AED/First Aid. At the moment, Brian is the sole guide for Upstate Hiking, but we do have plans to hire and train additional guides in the future.
